LGBTQD equity and inclusion
As a part of the Rotary Club of Kirkland’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion speaker series, Joshua Cooper will present to the club on LGBTQD Equity & Inclusion.  As with the other portions of the DEI series, the moderator for this evening will be Darcia Tudor, a club member and attorney, family mediator, forensic therapist and executive coach.
 
Joshua is a vice president at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and is a member of the PwC Workforce of the Future team where he specializes in consulting with his clients on diversity and inclusion, culture, and change management.  He works with C-Suite executives to embed their diversity and inclusion strategy within their operational strategy.  Joshua is a thought leader of diversity and inclusion for the firm and in the greater Seattle area, sitting on multiple boards, including the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Community of Practice, Disability Rights Washington, and Out & Equal.  Joshua also sits on the Seattle Pacific University's School of Business Executive Advisory Board, and previously was the treasurer and a board member for Compass Housing Alliance.
 
Joshua has worked with numerous CEOs of Fortune 500 companies to sign onto CEO Action, a pledge co-founded by PwC's CEO Tim Ryan to advance diversity and inclusion in corporate America.  Joshua views the world through the lens of a white, gay man who is a brother and caregiver to someone who has Down Syndrome.
 
Joshua received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Seattle Pacific University, then began his graduate studies at the University of Notre Dame for his master’s in taxation, transferring and finishing his degree at the University of Washington. He is currently a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers on the Workforce of the Future team.
