As school and college students headed "back-to-school" in September, three local education leaders addressed the Rotary Club of Kirkland about education and students', staffs', and parents' experiences.  The series was led, on September 14, by the club’s special guest, interim president of Bellevue College, former governor, and former ambassador to China, Gary Locke.

On September 21, the special guest was Dr. Jon Holmen, superintendent of the Lake Washington School District.  On September 28, the club’s special guest was Dr. Amy Morrison, president of the Lake Washington Institute of Technology. These education CEOs discussed new developments and plans in their organizations, and touched on how their teams of professionals are dealing with the impacts of the novel coronavirus on public schools' and colleges' operations.
