In November, Kirkland Rotarians heard politics and elections insights from four seasoned professionals deeply involved in politics, elections, and government history.  The Politics & Elections Series began with political operative Karen Waters, president of Strategies 360, a major political consulting firm in the region.

Waters was followed by journalist Jerry Cornfield, long-time political reporter for The Daily Herald (the parent of the local Kirkland Reporter); media figure Ben Anderstone, voter behavior researcher and political analyst regularly featured on Crosscut; and Russia and Soviet Union historian Dr. Glennys Young, chair of the University of Washington's History Department and professor in the Jackson School of International Studies.  As voters in Washington and the nation headed to the polls in record numbers on National Election Day, Kirkland Rotarians engaged the experts in lively discussions and programs.
