The Rotary Club of Kirkland held an in-person meeting at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club in downtown Kirkland.
 
The meeting was called to order by President Kate Koslosky at 6:21 p.m.  She then led us in the Pledge.
 
Attendance: David Aubry, Bob Auslander*, Margie Auslander*, Gary Cohn, Sue Cohn, Terry Cole, Don Dicks*, Sandy Ekins (Honorary)*, Jocelyn Ellison, Rashmi Garimella, Isabelle Kalisa, Chris Kelly-Storbeck, Kate Koslosky, Jim Meniketti, Rick Ostrander, Joanne Primavera, John Pruitt, Daniel Sada Caraveo, John Storbeck, Pat Swenson, Manny Tetteh*, and Rick Walter. *Attended via Zoom.
 
Guest: Anna Aubry.
 
Visiting Rotarian: Dick Carlson from Tucson Rotary.
 
Joanne Primavera passed out cards with the 4-Way Test on them; she then led us in reciting the Test. Following this she asked who had the highest and lowest ranked (playing) cards of the ones she had distributed.  The winner, and ‘loser’, received prizes.

Daniel Sada-Caraveo gave us a Rotary Moment as he described his experience visiting Woodinville Rotary and becoming aware of how many physical installations in town are the product of Rotary clubs’ efforts.

Rotary's Four-Way Test
Register for the 2025 Salmon Bake
Registration remains open for the 2025 Rotary Salmon Bake. Register using the invitation sent to past, present, and prospective club members last week, or click on the bold, blue type above, or go to the club's Club Calendar of events. This year the salmon bake will be held at the Ostrander Home in Bridle Trails. Registration for the dinner is through the ClubRunner events system, and the deadline to register is noon on August 20, 2025Please note that registration is limited to 40 attendees. The Catering Company has been engaged for the event and last year's menu will be replayed this year. Similar to last year, Rotarians are invited to bring side dishes and favorite refreshments. Please coordinate those items through Dave Aubry as the club service chair is currently vacant.
Register for the Kirkland Rotary Foundation Gala & Auction
An evening of fun, food, fellowship, and amazing auction items awaits you on Friday, September 12, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Kirkland Rotary Foundation’s Gala & Auction at Kirkland Woman's Club, 407 First Street in Kirkland. The ticket price this year is $100 (plus taxes and fees for a total of $119.73). There is free parking, tablecloths, lovely decorations, and more. A festive evening!
