On Monday, July 25, 2021, Rotarians will meet at the Lee Johnson Auto Family facility at 11845 NE 85th Street in Kirkland to brand the racing ducks. The Duck Dash Branding Party is a Rotary Club of Kirkland tradition, and an essential element of the preparations for the community's Great Puget Sound Duck Race. Rotarians, click HERE to register for the party and let the organizers know if you (and a guest) will attend! Remember, on Monday, July 25 the club will not meet at the Courtyard by Marriott.
The Duck Dash needs volunteers! Rotarians can find the remaining six ticket sales dates prior to Summerfest in the club's online Calendar. Just click on the calendar item, then click the GOLD BOX under the heading "ONLINE REGISTRATION", then click on the "+ Sign Up" button. You must be logged in to register. Additional tickets are available at Banner Bank, and the sales table and supplies are stored at Shinstrom & Norman. There are fewer sales days and venues this year, so we need to make each one count.

Rotary dues statements were sent to all active members on July 1, 2022, and a reminder statement was emailed on July 15 to all Rotarians with outstanding accounts. Payments are due by Sunday, July 31, 2022. As of July 18, 49% of club members have paid their dues. Nonpayment of dues jeopardizes membership in the Rotary club. Dues may be paid using the online Dues & Billing System link in the invoice emailed on July 1. The link is embedded in the bold words "Pay Now" in the invoice. Online payment requires a credit or debit card. Members may also pay by check through the U.S. Mail. If you need a duplicate invoice mailed, please send a request to Gary Cohn.
In addition to the six Rotarians leaving membership on July 1 for retirement, another club, or other pursuits, the club bids farewell to Shellie Gehring, who will not be with us as we begin 2022-2023. The Rotary Club of Kirkland's 2022-2023 year starts with 37 active members.
Are you having problems receiving Rotary emails sent from ClubRunner? Our email distribution tool is perceived by some email servers as "junk" or "spam" mail. So, email from your club (such as The Spokesman), or from club members (such as the president's emails on Sundays) may be diverted to your junk folder. It may help you to establish an email "contact" for your Rotary club. This essentially tells most email servers that Rotary emails are "ok" to place in your inbox. To save you time, a Rotary Contact Card was created for you that contains most of the ClubRunner email addresses used to send you mail. All active members will receive a copy of an updated contact card later this week. Hopefully, all you need to do is "right click" on it and then select "save" to add it to your contacts. Alternatively, you should be able to open the attachment, and then save it to your contacts.
