Scholarship Spotlight: The Tudors
Darcia and Gary Tudor are leaders in the Rotary Club of Kirkland Scholarship Program.  Last year the Tudors, along with Margie Glenn and Gary and Sue Cohn, funded the Kirkland Rotary Diversity Leadership Scholarships for students attending Lake Washington and Juanita high schools.  The scholarships are intended to draw students who demonstrate financial need, academic promise, a record of community service and leadership, the promise of societal contribution, and members of one or more diverse ethnic groups recognized by the state. The first recipients of the Diversity Leadership Scholarships were Tiffany Zang, who graduated from Lake Washington High School, and Emily Le, who graduated from Juanita High School.  For 2021, the Tudors, Cohns, and Margie Glenn continued the scholarships and made them available to all of the eligible Lake Washington high schools.  Thank you to Darcia and Gary Tudor for exemplary support of the Rotary Club of Kirkland Scholarship Program.
Scholarship Program Update
The Rotary Club of Kirkland Scholarship Program application deadline of March 19, 2021 is arriving.  As of Thursday evening, 28 students had begun the application process.  There were 11 applications from Juanita High School, eight each from Lake Washington High School and the Lake Washington Institute of Technology, and one from the University of Washington.

Brandon Honcoop, Mike Hunter, Brian Tucker, and Darcia Tudor each lead an interview team for a high school and the institute of technology. Interview teams still need volunteers.  If you are willing to devote some time to interviewing students for our scholarships, please get in touch with with one of the team leads who are listed below.
