Rotary's Four-Way Test
Annual Dues Deadline July 31
As of July 19, 22 of the club’s 40 active members, or 55%, have paid their annual dues. Annual dues payments are due by Saturday, July 31, 2021. Nonpayment of dues jeopardizes membership. Rotary club members may pay using the online Dues & Billing System link in the duplicate statements emailed on July 15. The link is embedded in the bold words "Pay Now" in the invoice. Online payment requires a credit or debit card. Members may also pay by check through the U.S. Mail. Happy Bucks (and other) donations may be made through the Donations page. Happy Bucks commitments also may be fulfilled through the Dues & Billing System if an invoice is sent. If any Rotarian needs a duplicate invoice mailed, please send a request to Gary Cohn.
New Dinner Ticket Payment Tool
Need a new Rotary Dinner Ticket for dinners during club meetings? ClubRunner partner Paya Bankcard created a new website page for purchasing Dinner Tickets for dinners during club meetings at The Woodmark Hotel. A link to the special payment page is located under the "Members" tab in the gold bar at the top of the club's home page. Look for the "Club Dinner Ticket" option in the drop-down menu. Once selected, a new page appears. On that new page click on "Check Out". Next, a fill-in-the-blanks credit card payment page appears. This new payment page is nearly identical to the Donations page, except it has only one choice: Dinner Ticket. For the time being, Dinner Tickets are $280 for 10 dinners. (This is a $2 per dinner discount.) Price is based on the charge per meal negotiated with The Woodmark Hotel. A "Club Dinner Ticket" link will also be provided on the left side of the Spokesman.
July Board Meeting Highlights
The club’s board of directors met on Thursday, July 15, for what was President Dave DeBois’ first board meeting as president. Space for the in-person meeting was generously provided by RE/MAX Northwest courtesy of Rotarian Rich Bergdahl. Highlights included an update on progress of plans for the Duck Dash in September (see the full minutes for details); comments on the progress of in-person meetings at The Woodmark Hotel, retaining Zoom access for members for whom in-person attendance is not possible or practical, outreach to members to ensure no one is dropped for nonpayment of dues without warning, reinvigoration of community service, club service, and committee participation, and plans for the club membership growth during the coming months. The board meeting schedule is published in the club calendar, including physical meeting location and a Zoom link for those who want to attend virtually.
