The Rotary Club of Kirkland held an in-person meeting on December 2, 2024 at the Kirkland Eagles Club facility. Vice President Kate Koslosky presided at this meeting and called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.

Jim Meniketti led us in the Pledge; John Pruitt led us in the 4-Way Test; our greeter was John Storbeck.

Our guests this evening were our speaker, Katrina Scarlett, of Mary's Place, and our Rotary Student of the Month, Rosie Ying, and Rosie's parents Kristine Schaffer and Kevin Ying.

Ms. Koslosky gave us a Rotary Moment – Sir Edmund Hillary said it is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.  We are putting a goal before ourselves.

Sign Up for 2024 Holiday Gift Shopping
Rotarians may still join in the event to purchase holiday gifts for the John Muir Elementary School families the Rotary Club of Kirkland will support this holiday season. The shopping party, this year with some of the families joining the Rotarians, is Saturday, December 14. The event is located at the Kirkland Fred Meyer Store. The shopping sign-up list is posted on the Club Calendar. You may click on the golden box to access the online Donation page as well. It's easy! Give it a try!
Rotary's Four-Way Test
Holiday Party 2024 Registration Open
Registration is now open for the Holiday Gift Wrapping Party & Annual Holiday Dinner scheduled for Monday, December 16, 2024. Rotarians and guests may register using the website ... just click on the bold name above to go to the Club Calendar. The club's holiday event typically begins with gift wrapping at 5:30 p.m., with dinner to follow, and then the club holds its annual meeting for this Rotary year. Club members may register through midnight on Wednesday, December 11 using the club's Calendar event. The fee is $50 per attendee, which covers venue, food, and drink costs, and is paid at the time of registration.
Valentine Dinner Registration Open
Registration is open for the club's almost annual Rotary Valentine Dinner for Rotarians, past Rotarians, and prospective Rotarians to gather in celebration of the Valentine's Day holiday.  The event is Monday, February 10 in place of a virtual club meeting and will be at the Kirkland Woman's Club at 407 First Street in Kirkland. Committee chair Doug Evanson is leading the planning for the event and he needs volunteers. If you can help with setting up the event, or will bring some refreshments to add to the dinner, please click on Doug's name above and let him know you'll assist.
