Navigating services for families who have a young or adult child with autism
Joe is the director of community engagement at Washington Autism Alliance. Previously, Joe has led development efforts at Kindering, Youth Eastside Services, and Legal Foundation of Washington’s LAW Fund among others. Formerly the director of advocacy at the Arc of King County, and member of the Governor’s Committee on Disabilities, he currently chairs the King County Division of Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board. Joe first joined the Washington Autism Alliance as a table captain and as a volunteer in advocacy efforts in 2007.  He has also  served as the human services analyst on the staff of King County Councilmember Claudia Balducci. Earlier in Joe’s career, he served as a legislative assistant to two members of the Washington State House of Representatives. A resident of Shoreline, Joe is active on the Shoreline Rotary and other community activities including membership on Children's Campaign Fund, North Urban Human Services Alliance, and Hold Your Crown boards of directors. His wife, Amanda, and he raise their three children in the Briarcrest neighborhood.
