President Bob Webb called the meeting to order at 6:30.  The flag salute was lead by Dave Hunnicutt and the inspirational moment was given by Dwight Olson.  Our Greeter was Elizabeth Rusnak.

Trey, captain of the Juanita High School football team, shared the inspirational story of his team and the challenges they have endured.

Our Speaker:  Dr. Duncan Milloy, Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce Business Rentention Consultant

Dr. Milloy shared that he is employed as an independent contractor and is funded by the City of Kirkland.  In this capacity he spearheads a collaborative effort between the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce and the City of Kirkland focused on the retention of Kirkland businesses.  He acts as a facilitator for Kirkland businesses that need assistance obtaining City permits, understanding and complying with City regulations and codes, finding suitable space for expansion and relocation, and learning what resources are available to business owners to help their enterprises thrive in Kirkland. 

Dr. Milloy gave examples of three areas:

1.       Real Estate searches and relocation

2.      Business Plans

3.      Signage and Permits
