The Rotary District 5030 Conference is at Portland Hilton on April 29-May 1.  Signup at the Rotary District 5030 website – click on the conference notice – Each 25 people who sign up have the chance to win a $250 Costco cash card.

 

The Kirkland Rotary Foundation Texas Hold ‘Em fundraiser will be April 16 at Lee Johnson Chevrolet.  More details to follow.

April 9 is Rotarians at Work Day.  The Rotary Club of Kirkland will be assisting Habitat for Humanity to build a home.  There will be two shifts:  8:00 a.m. to noon and noon to 4:00 p.m.  – Lunch is included.  If you can’t attend, donations for lunch and snacks are appreciated.  On April 23, Habitat for Humanity is having a breakfast and our club has a table for ten.  Let Rachel know if you plan to attend.

 

Brandon thanked Rotarians who helped with the State DECA judging.  Thank you Pat Swenson, Rich Bergdahl, Shelly Gehring, and of course, himself.

 

Program:

Rachel introduced Dr. Eric Murray, President of Cascadia.  Dr. Murray is most proud of assisting students to prepare for college transfer and his working relationship with the University of Washington Bothell Campus.

 

 Makayla Powers successfully bought the lucky ticket for the joker pot and didn’t win.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 P.M.,
