Brandon Honcoop reminded everyone that 10 Grands will be held again this year at the Benaroya Hall on May 11 at 7:00 pm.  The price is $80 for the Rotary Orchestra level tickets and $99 if you wish to attend the Rotary pre-function.

Patti handed out Legacy Project Opportunities (see attached).  The club has $10,000 this year from Duck Dash Funds, and hopes to add $10,000 each of the next two years for a large project that will make a difference in the community.  Please email Patti with your comments about the proposed projects and the Board will make a decision.

Scott Becker announced a Kirkland Chamber event on April 18 at the Park Place Cinema starting at 5:00 p.m.  For $25 you will have appetizers provided by Lucia’s, beverages, and at 7:00 p.m., the movie “Starbuck.”  (I saw Starbuck last year at SIFF, and it is hilarious).

Program:

Ashley Aldrich was selected at the Kirkland Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year.  Ashley goes to Lake Washington High and has a 3.9 grade point average.  Ashley told about her eight years of going to the Boys and Girls Club and how much it meant to her to have a stable place to go.  Ashley received a standing ovation for sharing her story.  Ashley plans to go to college next year and loves math and science.

Scott Becker successfully bought the lucky ticket for the Joker Pool and won $10, which he donated to the Club because he didn’t have any cash left for his Happy Dollar. Scott didn’t win the joker pool.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 P.M. so people could get home to watch the National Championship Basketball game between Michigan and Louisville (for those of you who didn’t watch it, Louisville won),
