Transition Dinner 2008

No one could have scripted a better evening for our annual transition dinner.  Our now Past President was aglow with the thought that she had done it and the baton was soon to be passed.  Social hour was very enjoyable watching how our membership responded to the western themed evening. (Note "J.R./Boss Hogg" Hoviland with Felicity "Daisy Duke" Burdick)

It was not our normal meeting so your pro tem scribe will just give the highlights.  There were many guests in attendance and the tent was full to capacity.  President Rachel did a very thorough recap of her year. 

Bob Webb was named Rotarian of the Year.  Congrats Bob on all your hard work the past year.

 

There were many other thanks given by Rachel to her past chairs and volunteers.

The traditional passing of the gavel started with Chuck Morgan and

end ended with new president Bob Webb.

 

Bob thanked Rachel for a very successful year and presented her with a lovely cedar box that Rachel had hinted she liked that showed her now as Past President Rachel Knight.  She was also presented with a very nice bouquet of flowers.
