Notices about contributing to Celebrate Kirkland, the overall planning event for July 4th have been sent.  It would be appreciated if members would consider contributing to this worthwhile cause.

Barb Seaton has sent everyone a statement for next year's dues and some people have already paid.  It has been three years since there was a dues increase and one is reflected in this statement.

There will be no meeting at the Woodmark on June 9 because that is the date of the annual Golf Tournament at Mt. Si Golf Course, 9010 Boalch Ave SE, Snoqualmie (425) 391-4926.  The putting contest starts at 9:00 a.m. and the first tee time is at 10:00 a.m.  The cost of the tournament is $75.  You will need to call Mt. Si to reserve your own golf carts.  If you aren't playing golf, the prime rib dinner is $30.  There will be hors d'oeuvres before dinner, so plan to be at the Golf Course around 3:00 p.m. or so.  Al Hoviland and Alice Volpe will be collecting the funds for the tournament/dinner before you tee off and/or eat dinner and will accept checks or cash only.

There will also be no meeting at the Woodmark on June 30 because that is the date of the Duck Branding Party at Lee Johnson Chevrolet.

This week's MiracleLeague game will be held at the Kirkland Boys and Girls' Club on Saturday, June 7.  The Mariner Moose will be in attendance, so this will be a popular game.  Please be there at 9:30 a.m.  More volunteers are always welcome.

Before the June 16 regular meeting, there will be a meeting at 5:00 p.m. with John Woodbery, President of the Rotary Club of Kirkland Foundation.  Many of the club members expressed an interest about learning more about the Foundation and this will be a time when they can ask questions.

Other Information:

Bob Webb gave an overview about the survey he conducted about the Rotary Club of Kirkland.  He will post the results of the survey on the website.

Jim Feek had a few members stand up and recount memories of Pascal.  He asked Pascal and his parents to come forward and presented Pascal with a Paul Harris Fellow.

Program :

Marian Webb, wife of Bob Webb, gave a wonderful program with her Scottish Dance students.  Marian teaches Scottish Dancing to about fifty students in her basement studio.  Greg McDonald, the Drum Sergeant for the Heath Island Pipe Band, played the bagpipes for the seven students, ages four to thirteen.  Amy, the four year old, performed her first solo dance.  The other students performed the Highland Fling, a Sword Dance, and the Scottish Sloat (sp).

It was thrilling to see the students dance and watch Marian be so supportive of her students.

Pascal again successfully had the lucky ticket for the honey pot.  His usual winning number 5 was not successful on the first try, but was a winner on the second try.   Pascal won the $50 in the jack pot.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
