Inspiration  - Brian Tucker - $20 to the 20th anniversary of being in the club!

Mike Hunter introduced Nicole Shriver who spoke about her future in the aerospace industry, and her desire to go into engineering. Her passion for Aerospace comes from her experience with the NASA wish program where she visited Johnson Space Center.  She spoke about her job as a dog trainer and her love of animals. Her parents Anne and Chris Shriver were also present for dinner.

Mike presented Nicole with a gift donation to NW harvest, in her name.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Duck Dash – Brian Tucker announced that the tickets are off to the printer, and will be done on the 23rd of May.   June 3rd will be when Brian will hand out our member packages with our ticket allotment. June 10th will be out Kickoff for the Duck Dash and will be the last day for members to pick up their tickets. For additional information or questions, please contact Brian Tucker.

Congratulations from Patti Smith to Scott Becker for a “job well done” at John Muir Elementary Math Buddy program. Scott was a “Hit” at the school with the kids.

Rotary Family Picnic – July 15th

$4,000 was left over in the budget, and the board approved to provide $1,000 to four non-profit organizations. Anne Hamiltons grant request for a defibrillator was approved as one of the non-profit organizations.

Patti Smith – Four former club presidents are donating $10,000 for a KRC legacy project to be determined.

Rich Begdahl – Patty Tucker has the 1st Joker from the first Joker Pool  in her house. This is a tribute to how much her husband appreciated the Kirkland Rotary Club.
