President Jim Feek opened the May 3, 2010 Kirkland Rotary meeting at 6:30 PM at our alternate venue Wilde Rover.  He then turned the meeting over to Scott Ratke, Head Duck after announcing guests of which there were many:  Anna Aubrey, Penny Sweet, Sue Sturgell, Patty Tucker, Sandy Taylor, Janet Pruitt, Judy Boruck, Joanne Burns (third time) Gayle Auslander, Wilma Bartel, Rich Frederick, Sponsor, Kathy Feek, Lorraine Burton (Evergreen) Bob Malte new CEO, Anne Rathke, and Kimberly Morrisee, Sponsor.
Sponsor Awards were:
Gold-Connover Insurance, Evergreen Hospital, Al and Alice, ;  Silver:  Banner Bank,D & A Solutions, Wild Rover, Bed Bath and Beyond, Visiting Angels, Kirkland Reporter, Karen Quirk, AAL
 
Eric Hansen introduced Bob Malte as the new Steve Brown.
 
  • Next Monday is K-9 night by the Police.
  • Miracle league needs volunteers for this Saturday;
  • Don Dix announced the KAST program  (artist time) Mother's day Weekend;
  • Penny Sweet announced the City is pleased that we are doing the Fourth of July event again.
  • Sarah Brooks in duck mufti ended the evening with some corny duck jokes and we all longed for Feek's Norweigens.  Meeting ended quickly at 6:35 and then much fun was had by all.
