In May, Kirkland Rotarians learned about efforts in the community to keep adults and young people on track for success.  An exceptional combination of speakers described community support structures about which community members do not often hear news.  Judge John Olson explained the new community court operation launched by the city of Kirkland's municipal court.  Lake Washington School District Associate Superintendent Matt Gillingham updated Rotarians on how community truancy boards are working to keep students in school.  Then, Youth Eastside Services' Kristie Neklason, director of school-based behavioral health, described programs offered for youth and young adults in partnership with the school district and the city.
