President Steve Shinstrom called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.  The flag salute was lead by Bob Webb and the Inspiration/Rotary Minute was given by Rich Bergdahl.  He emphasized Rotary Foundation Month and Polio Plus, quoting from the October Rotarian magazine.  October is a matching month for donations from the Gates Foundation for every $1 donated they will match $2 toward Polio Plus.  President Steve thanked Bob Webb and Rich Bergdahl for staffing the front desk and Dave Aubry for Greeting.

Program:  Cross Corridor Central Station, Legacy Project ProposalSpeaker:  Dave Aubry
Dave did considerable research and talked with the City of Kirkland to see if they had any interest in working with us.  Attached are the numerous “talking points” provided by Dave.  General discussion followed the presentation.  The Club membership is in general agreement that the proposed project is an excellent idea but needs more information about financial commitments from the City and any other organizations (morning Club, Everest Community Group, Corporate sponsorship, etc.).  Dave has agreed to work with the City and the other groups to see how much they are willing to contribute and how much our Club would need to commit over a 2-3 year period.

President Steve closed the meeting with a “smile bringer”.  We adjourned at 7:35 pm.
