Program:

Since October is Vocational Month, Brandon showcased several Vocational programs.

The student of the month, Anita, gave her end of the month talk.

Jean Johnson and Mike Navalinski are in the Career Center at Juanita High.  They told about how much they appreciated Rotary efforts to give recognition and scholarships to Juanita students.  Jean told one touching story about a student named Alex who was named Student of the Month in 2002.  Alex will finally graduate from college this year because he was given that one boost.  One of the criteria for choosing student of the month during that year was that the student needed to overcome a problem.  Alex had a physical handicap.  Jean said she really wished we would go back to using that criteria for choosing students.

Joe Castleberry is the President of Northwest College.  He told about it's history and accomplishments.

Carl Bryant is starting a new on-line business for men.  He will send appropriate greeting cards to a man so the man won't have to purchase them.  All the man will have to do is to remember to give them out and sign them.  Carl should really go into the entertainment business.  He had us all rolling in stitches.

Our student, Anita Ducart, had the lucky ticket for the honeypot and won the money.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:48 P.M.
