Members of the Rotary Club of Kirkland gave a part of their day on the 4th of July to volunteer for the city of Kirkland's parade and celebration. Rotary Club of Kirkland President Kate Koslosky, Rotarian Dr. Sue Cohn, Rotarian Dr. Joanne Primavera and Community Service Chair Rick Walter had the morning shift, provided support for the parade, kept things moving in an orderly fashion, and provided directions. Program Chair John Storbeck and spouse Rotarian Chris Kelly-Storbeck took the later shift and helped out with keeping the parade going and helping close it down when finished. Rick Walter and Rotarian Brett Johnson helped the dozens of veterans get signed up, enjoy food and drink, receive a boutonniere and name tag, and then be assigned to one of a hand full of vehicles that Brett provided from Lee Johnson Chevrolet to transport these wonderful servicemen and women down the parade route so that they could be honored. The members of Rotary Club of Kirkland answered the call and helped make the parade and celebration a success.
