"Getting to Know You" was the Program of the night featuring Jerry Marsh by an emotional and respectful Rich Bergdahl.

Jerry, except for a period of time during World War II, has always lived in Kirkland.  Born in 1923,  Jerry now celebrates being 84 years old.  He graduated from Kirkland High School and went to Lake Washington University by ferry and eventually working for Boeing.  After returning from World War II, in 1946 Jerry went to the University of Washington on the G.I. Bill.  Then began his career at Boeing.  His first car was a 4 door Model A.  In 1969 Jerry joined Rotary to become involved in the community.  He felt it was a good association to belong to.  Jerry served as President in 1981-1982.  Retiring in 1982, his good friend Dick Weston and wife Sharon introduced him to his bride of today, Patti. Jerry and Patti are Paul Harris Fellowship members.  They always felt the money they contributed went to good work.

Jim Feek and Rich presented Jerry with a letter and pin from the President of Rotary International, William Boyd, thanking him for his and Patti's contributions.

Bob Gassen caught many memorable moments of this wonderful presentation to Jerry and Patti Marsh.

Rachel's quote for the week, "When you cease to make a contribution, then you being to die"
