Education Scholarship
Kirkland Rotary Education Scholarship
This scholarship is sponsored by Bob Auslander and Margie Glenn for a student enrolling in an education program at an accredited college or university or a technical education preparation program at an accredited technical school (e.g., technical college, institute of technology) in the state of Washington. The scholarship is a one-time award of $3,000. One “Kirkland Rotary Technical Education Scholarship” may be awarded in 2025. The eligibility criteria are are:
- Financial need (demonstrated through a valid USED Student Aid Index [SAR] summary report, or written statement declaring financial need);
- Academic promise (demonstrated through the transcript and letter of recommendation);
- Record of school or community service, especially leadership, and promise of societal contribution (demonstrated through the essay and letter of recommendation);
- Currently enrolled as a senior at the Lake Washington School District’s Lake Washington High School; and
- Plans to attend a federally accredited college, university, technical college, institute of technology, or other technical education school or program within the state of Washington.
