Technical Education Scholarship
Kirkland Rotary Technical Education Scholarship
This scholarship is sponsored by Bob & Gail Auslander for a student planning a technical education at an accredited technical school (e.g., technical college, institute of technology) in the state of Washington. The scholarship is a one-time award of $2,500. One “Kirkland Rotary Technical Education Scholarship” may be awarded in 2023. The eligibility criteria are are:
- Financial need (demonstrated through a valid USED Student Aid Report SAR], or written statement declaring financial need);
- Academic promise (demonstrated through the transcript and letter of recommendation);
- Record of school or community service, especially leadership, and promise of societal contribution (demonstrated through the essay and letter of recommendation);
- Currently enrolled as a senior at the Lake Washington School District’s Juanita High School, Lake Washington High School, or Emerson High School; and
- Plans to attend a federally accredited technical college, institute of technology, or other technical education school or program within the state of Washington.
